Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Grant H — 23 Aug 2012
+ Some pretty neat realism.
+ Dalton presents a brutal and cold blooded Bond.
+ The chase in the cello case.
+ A neat Bond girl.
+ The music.
+ The Bond elements.
+ The darker tone is OK.
- A little bit too much realism.
- The story of For Your Eyes Only.
- Where's the excitement and the power?
- Not as good as Licence to Kill.
- Should have some more gadgets etc.
- Gives me no feelings at all.
- Boring villain.
- The action is stiff.
Timothy Dalton was clearly still looking for himself. Not as good as Licence, but an honorable Bond movie.
