Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Christopher R — 27 Jun 2014
Timothy Dalton was an excellent successor to Roger Moore for the role of 007. Dalton took the character back to the image of what Ian Fleming wanted Bond to be. Roger Moore (by far my favorite Bond) played him as a playboy who sleeps with every woman, has more gadgets than a mad scientist, and is more witty one-liners than a comedian.
Whereas Dalton played him as a serious agent, not a playboy. A man who did what was suppose to be done, but also had a sense of vulnerability. In my opinion, Dalton saved the franchise! And "The Living Daylights" is one of my most favorite movies! And the theme song is awesome!
