Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Greg W — 28 Jun 2014
Timothy Dalton presents a bold new vision of James Bond in The Living Daylights. When a Soviet general defects to the West he calls upon James Bond for help, but when things don't add up Bond starts to suspect that there's more to the defection than anyone realizes.
Dalton does an excellent job at bringing Bond into a new era by giving a more serious and action oriented depiction of the character. Additionally, the story is well-crafted and does a good job at developing the characters.
With less camp and more action, The Living Daylights delivers a thrilling and exciting Bond adventure.
