Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Christopher K — 25 Sep 2014
When I first saw this in theaters, I bemoaned the loss of Roger Moore playing the star character, and yet Timothy Dalton deserves quite a bit of praise for his portrayal of James Bond and the scaling back of the villain to something a little more credible.
I find the most ironic part in this movie is the reverence paid to the Afghani freedom fighters back when the USSR occupied the country, and how we now look down on them with scorn, calling the very same people terrorists, and associating them with the Taliban or Al-Qaeda.
