Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by The B — 29 Jul 2008
Ok here comes the controversy over Timothy Dalton. Some people like him some don't. However I'm here to say he's one of the better one's by no means the best and is behind Brosnan, Craig, and Connery on my list but he wasn't a bad Bond like Moore or Lazenby.
Honestly with the short run as Bond Dalton had he laid the ground work for both Brosnan and Craig to start fleshing out a deeper character that Bond was in the books. Now on to the film itself. I like it I think that the film is much smarter than most Bond films and actually is able to handle the comedy without being to ridicilous.
Another thing is the fact that even though Moore had several Bond films in the eighties all his films felt like they were in the seventies. Its not until now does the Bond character and the storyline feel updated enough to belong in the eighties.
I say check it out.
