Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Ekiushi Y — 02 Feb 2009
Not too bad an effort for the first Dalton Bond film. Somewhat realistic plot with the dodgy arms traders, but the villains come off as fairly inept. I liked the use of the original short story assassination attempt as the basis for the story.
One of the coolest Bond cars of all time - the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The winter-ising of it was interesting though - the car is actually a V8 Vantage Volante (convertible), supposedly fitted with a hardtop partway through the movie, yet the car used for the scenes in Czechoslovakia was actually a Vantage coupe.
