When they finally get rid of that 59 year old codger, the result is an action packed story driven, character driven film that undoubtedly lies within the bottom half of my top 10 favorite bond films.
Pros.
+ 40 is younger than 60.
+ Dalton actually gets more screen time than his stunt man, unlike Moore.
+ The Living Daylights is one of the best bond songs of all time, not to mention a killer Pretenders soundtrack!
+ A more romantic bond that only romances to women the entire movie, is suprisingly well taken. The Cello girl is a great bond girl, even if she is PG rated.
+ What a finale! Probably the best finale since The Spy who Loved Me.
Cons.
- The Wolf wistle.
