Review of The Living Daylights (1987) by Sarah Alexandra B — 31 Jan 2008
This movie is one of my favorites. Sean Connery didn't smile alot during his reign as James Bond and even though Roger Moore smiled a bit more often he did in a fashion that wasn't so ovious kind of laid the smiles in there. Here Timothy Dalton's first of 2 movies as James Bond really smiles and looks like he really had fun with the role as Mr. Bond. I loved seeing John Ryes Davies who plays Gimli and Treebeard in Lord Of The Rings playing another character 20 years ago even before his reaccuring role in Star Trek Voyager as well. This movie is fun from the get go. I love how part of the movie is in the snow and has woman with a cello involved as well. This isn't my favorite James Bond but ahead of many Sean Connery's and a few Roger Moore's...as far as where it's placed..it's as follows..
A View To A Kill, For Your Eyes Only, Moonraker, The Spy Who Loved Me..Diamonds are Forever, The Living Daylights, Live and Let Die, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, The Man With The Golden Gun, Octopussy, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Goldfinger, Dr. No and From Russia With Love.
Next to rate is Licence To Kill.
