Review of The Living and the Dead (2007) by David D — 18 May 2008
Awesome premise. The first 45 minutes were Kubrick on acid. I thought the last half was wasted and a bit of a cop out. It should have played more realistic and focused on James and the mother. The nightmare sequence made me laugh and the constant flashbacks were jarring.
I'm only being picky because the premise was so original and disturbing it didn't need the techno-strobe-light-bullshit.
