Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Carlos R — 01 Sep 2010
What a great and remarkable film this is. Absolutely well done, brilliant, exciting (despite being pretty slow) and completely entertaining. Its plot was simple and direct, very few characters and even less number of sets.
Superb performances, and magnificent direction. Its few-words ending was beautiful and moving; no extra-words or extra-scenes were needed, it's a smart film that let the audience answer the questions and make their own conclusions.
A brilliant masterpiece.
