Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Paddy R — 30 Jul 2011
This is possibly thee best movie I have EVER seen. Granted it is in German, it is still a quality movie.
The Stasi detective, Hauptmann Gerd Wiesler, monitors a dramatist who is rebelling against the DDR. While Wiesler is monitoring him, Wiesler becomes sympathetic towards Dreymans cause and lies in his reports to protect him.
Overall, one of the best movies I've seen in a while.
