Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Tom S — 06 Sep 2010
Intense film, subtle enough to reveal the power of an emotion and how that can change the life of another human being - sweet ending showing the greatest type of appreciate of good people in times of oppression.
German cinema is brilliant, though, as usual the film ran long - in this case it was clear the beining, while settingt he atmosphere of the time, dragged out too long before something happened, but once it does, it's intense.
