Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Carreh R — 19 Dec 2010
This movie won the Academy Award for best foreign language film in 2007 and it deserved it. It is the story of artists and the Stasi secret policemen who monitor them supposedly to protect the state and socialism.
The story is subtle, the acting low key but very effective and the plot takes many twists. This is definitely the kind of movie you could watch more than once and enjoy it.
