Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Darryl P — 12 Aug 2011
Totalitarian East German regime is the setting for this nicely done story, but while the repression is the backdrop it is really about becoming, or remaining, human in the most repressive of regimes. Involved plot and not for those who like tidy endings or justice all 'round, but a moving tale.
