Review of The Lives of Others (2006) by Jenna I — 15 Oct 2014
Really touching and fantastic film. It goes beyond voyeurism and really taps into what makes for good stories and good cinema-- a respect and longing for real human emotion. Add in a devastating situation and setting and you've got a great, nuanced and truly touching film.
Love the subtlety of how Gerd becomes an artist in his own right.
