Review of The Little Rascals (1994) by Michael B — 01 May 2012
Updated from the popular shorts of the 20's and 30's, The Little Rascals stars a gang of kids getting into childish shenanigans. While it supposedly takes place in modern times, all the actors are dressed in period clothes and reenact all the famous bits in the old pictures.
The main plot surrounds a climactic go-cart race, but that's largely a vehicle to deliver gags, puns, pratfalls, and general silliness. This probably isn't the highest plateau of children's movies, but I enjoyed it as a kid and I still get a chuckle out of a few scenes nowadays.
