Review of The Little Prince (2015) by Peter F — 04 Aug 2016
CGI/stop-motion update of the cherished French children's book retains the spirit of its source material while also expanding it for the sensibilities of modern audiences. Taking a pseudo-meta approach to The Little Prince, the film's story-within-a-story narrative never fumbles and really pays-off for the exciting climax.
While the computer graphics just can't compare to the likes of Pixar and Dreamworks, the stop-motion sequences are all great, and makes one wonder if the movie would have been better if had been entirely animated as such.
Children will definitely love The Little Prince, and so will adults that are fed up with the adult world.
