Review of The Little Prince (2015) by Tim M — 02 Jan 2017
This movie is beautiful, the attention to detail on the sounds are second to none in an animated feature, the voices are ideal for bringing the movie to life, however there is something missing in 'The Little Prince' which keeps it out of the upper echelon of stop-motion animated films.
There is a story within a story, but the narrative often wanders which makes it hard to follow. The target audience may be young kids, but they in all likelihood will not be entertained. Older children who can handle more complex thought structures may find a new favorite movie, especially the girls.
The bar is set so high for movies like this that when one falls short it is very obvious. Watch it for the beauty and the sounds, loathe it for the meandering story. Final Score 5.8/10.
