Review of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008) by Aaron K — 02 Sep 2008
OK, so being a Dad of 2 little girls, it's inevitable that I'll have to sit through these things for as long as I'm alive. :).
Now, don't get me wrong, the original Little Mermaid was an amazing movie.
This one, surprisingly, was good. Not great, mind you, but good. Especially for a 3rd sequel. (I didn't watch the 2nd one.).
The interesting thing about this one is that they brought back the original voices of Ariel and Sebastian - almost unheard of for an animated sequel - let alone a 3rd! The quality of the movie as a whole was very similar to the first.
In a nutshell, I expected this to be a very crappy sequel (as most other Disney sequels are), but I was pleasantly surprised. It was cute and kept my attention.
