Review of The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning (2008) by Dammy G — 20 Dec 2012
You'd think producers would learn from Star Wars that Prequels released more than a decade later never work. The animation doesn't look like ass, and I guess it's nice to see what Ariel's life with her family was before the events of the original film.
Though the movies real problems are the same as The Star Wars prequels surprisingly. Lot's of flash, very little story, lack of character, and loads of contradictions that make it so this can't match up to the original film.
If there's anything nice I can say about this, it's that I guess it could have been a reboot of sorts. Sadly that isn't the case.
