Review of The Little Mermaid (1989) by David E — 13 Jan 2013
Reviving the Disney animation unit and changing animated films for the next decade, its hard to overstate the impact of this film. Carried by strong songs and confident storytelling, it's not hard to see why it was so successful.
Though the animation still shows some signs of the rough '80s era, it is mostly quite strong, as is the voice work. It remains a film well worth seeing.
