Review of The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976) by Melodie B — 05 May 2008
Foster shows wiley spirit performers 20 years her senior would struggle to exude in a creepy tale made all the more stark with its matter of fact realism. Other efforts have approached a similar, if somewhat vague schpiel, very few can report back with the relative success of The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane.
Martin Sheen's character is the ultimate anthitesis of his West Wing wage earner, toying with Foster until she finally fixes him a concoction he won't be able to fight back from. Not one for the faux Liberal brigade that proliferate themselves into 21st Century cinema.
