Review of The Little Foxes (1941) by Michael S — 31 Dec 2007
Based on Lilian Hellman's brilliant play by the same name, this is yet another masterpiece by William Wyler, perhaps the greatest of all directors working in the golden period of the 30es and 40es.
Bette Davis makes an impressive Regina only inferior to the performance of Elizabeth Taylor in the Broadway production of the play in the early 80es. But there is many other fine performances in this intelligent adaptation of a truely great play.
