Fuck this movie is brilliant. First, you should note the ridiculous cinematography of (Citizen Kane's cinematographer) Gregg Toland. This is the last in a trio of movies Bette did with William Wyler, her lover and director with whom she'd remain pretty much obssessed for the rest of her life.
