Review of The Listening (2006) by Aslak E — 03 Dec 2007
Very interesting, given that NSA and DARPA sponsored development of keyword-spotting technology in the late 90's. Some ideas in the movie, e.g. that all (international?) phone calls are monitored, or that any cell phone can act as a bug, are realities today..
Scary, if you have an iPhone where you can't remove the battery..
Anyhow, it's a decent movie.
The way they hacked into the system is unbeleivable though.
