Review of The Lion King (1994) by George R — 03 Mar 2014
To me, this was the best Disney movie I ever seen since I was a child. The songs are nice, the animation is of course great, I mean everyone at the time was going nuts about how good the movie is. I like Timon and Bumba, they are like just good buddies to each other.
They even take care of Simba all those years and teach him what they know about life. There is one thing that is wrong with the film and it's about the moral of the story that Disney is trying to teach you in the end.
So the moral of the story is: Never take responsibility for what you done, nobody will be behind you unless it turns out you didn't do it. Yeah that is seriously not right. The movie even starts turning against Simba making it like he does deserve to die.
Really Disney? Really? Anyway, as much for the big flaw, the rest of the film is great. Loved it back then, and still love it now! ^_^.
