Review of The Lion King (1994) by Mitchell L — 23 Dec 2014
Seeing this movie again as an adult has left a tingling feeling in my heart. Maybe it is the nostalgia of seeing a movie that, as a child, I revered. But I think what it really is about this movie is that seeing as a child and then seeing it when you're an adult are two very different things, yet at the same time, very much alike.
I cried at various moments in the movie, I sung along with my girlfriend and my friends just on Saturday. It's easily one of the best movies Disney ever made simply because both children and adults can enjoy it easily without being bored.
Its colourful, and even dark at times. But it has a gripping story behind it, and I will continue to watch it. And when I have a son or daughter or my own, they will see this movie, and enjoy it as I once did.
... And still do.. 5 Stars.
