Review of The Lion in Winter (1968) by Kevin D — 05 Jun 2007
Of all his nominations, this is the one for which O'Toole really should have won. A phenomenal film with a literate script and unbelievable moments. It reaches the pinnacle when Hepburn and O'Toole engage in a verbal battle of wits over the choice of royal heir.
Witty and compelling, with a phenomenal musical score by John Barry.
