Review of The Lion in Winter (1968) by Corey O — 24 Jun 2007
'The Lion in Winter' has such a amazingly witty and clever script that only amazing actors can do it justice, and this film version of James Goldman's play does not disappoint. Katharine Hepburn and Peter O'Toole are brilliant, and Anthony Hopkins, Timothy Dalton, and the other supporting actors also pull off spectacular performances.
For anyone who has even the slightest interest in 12th-century Britain or games of cunning, strategy, and political savvy, this movie is definitely a must-see.
