Review of The Lion in Winter (1968) by Susan M — 11 Aug 2007
This movie is truly among the best ever made. It is Shakespearean in scope and drama. The dialogue is wonderfully witty and clever, the performances are superlative (especially O'Toole and Hepburn).
The setting is appropriately gritty, too, not the romanticized vision of Medieval life that one usually sees. Perfect in plot, writing and execution!
