Quite simply, the greatest film of all time. At least in many areas. Perhaps it's orgins as a stage play appeal to me, as I am a stage actor, but the cast of this movie version certainly took a dialog lover's dream script, and enhanced it 10 fold.
Nominated for 8 Oscars, and deserving of all of them, the lion in Winter, despite it's lack of action scenes is THE sharp witted, fork tongued, anglophile, power struggle, dark love story for the ages.
It is Shakespeare for the 20th century.
