Review of The Lion in Winter (1968) by Lyndall B — 16 Oct 2008
This is a smart, dysfunctional family snake pit, utterly believable and would be accurate on the whole but for the location of the Christmas court- which makes history itself so intriguing. I recommend Marion Meade's Biography of Eleanor of Aquitaine.
