One of the best book adaptations I've ever seen Very true to the excellent story, but you don't need to know all about the back story (which was unfortunately dropped, but I can see it would have been difficult to jam in there).
McConaughey is in his one element: playing a seedy and slightly underhanded lawyer, trying to do the right thing.
