Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Martin O — 15 Jan 2012

Absolutely loved this law-thriller. Matthew McConaughey plays a superb, top notch, hard nosed defense lawyer who is willing to do just about anything and do just about anything to get what he sees as justice.

On the surface this movie may seem flat, dull, boring, or even played out but somehow the combination of gritty acting, emotional scenes, detailed and deep characters and super fun plot keep this movie fresh and moving. The few scenes where the movie tends to slow down and almost relax a little bit are not overtly long as to really take a toll on their viewers which I loved. We are also given a chain of events that fits so perfectly together it's a surprise it hasn't been done before.

You'll fall for this movie, you will want to be in the family and will want to take your revenge and lay it all on the line for these characters.

This movie is a MUST SEE if you are looking for anything along the lines of thriller, law, or court room fun. Pick it up for sure.
