Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Paul P — 31 Jan 2012
I really believe if he went down a different path Matthew McConaughey could've been one of the best mainstream actors working today. Sadly he didn't so now I get to wait for him to get me really excited for a good film.
..okay a solid film. I like the characters in this film. You get the sense that these are people with issues that have been going on before the movie and will long after its over. Great cast that enhances the material by getting memorable scenes from throw away characters played marvelously by people like Michael Pena, William H Macy, Brian Cranston and Shea Whigham.
The ending becomes too much like a recent episode of Dexter(I miss the first few seasons of that show) with all the twists but its still a solid film.
