Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Bob S — 14 Feb 2012
McConaughey sweeps through this legal whodunit with a certain precision and pace. He portrays, Haller, a defense lawyer with a unique style and with many questioning his methods and intentions. The story incorporates complex legal situations into suspenseful subplots much like a Grisham novel/film.
The movie was adapted from Connellyâ??s novel of the same name and the movie has made me want to check out some more of Connellyâ??s work. One of the fastening subplots is Hallerâ??s relationship with his ex (played by Tomei) who, as a prosecutor, counts herself among his biggest critics.
Hallerâ??s latest case proves more challenging than it first would appear and leads to a clever game of cat and mouse.
