Review of The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) by Gary B — 27 Apr 2012
Courtroom dramas. With the world being fed by John Grisham novels (of which I greatly enjoy and own the majority of) it's nice to have different characters, in a different location (not Mississippi!), with actors who fit into the part like a foot into a well-worn shoe.
With the exception of Ryan Phillippe, whom I really can't stand in any role, this cast does very well. I can see why Josh Lucas got the role in Grishams newest TV drama. He was ice cold and vulnerable.
This is my favorite Matthew McConaughey role, by a long way. He has some diversity, was supported be the ever reliable Marisa Tomei and the ultra-expandable William H. Macy. Very few complaints.
