Yes probably pretentious, definitely obscure. seems to be a film about art / culture / philosophy / bohemianism taking out "the man". the hitman undergoes a philosophical journey towards the fulfilment of his mission before slipping back into normal life.
the limit of the system's control is that it can't control the thoughts of creatives and thinkers.
