Review of The Limits of Control (2009) by David S — 03 Sep 2010
"The Limits of Control" is slow, and in fact, reminds me of old tape-loop experimental music where a loop plays over and over again, with little bits of the overlying sounds are altered just slightly.
The same few themes and motifs are repeated throughout the course of this film, subtly altered each time. If you like everything explained and neatly wrapped up, or you expect every moment of a film to move along at a decent speed, you will sit around wondering why you started this movie.
I enjoyed it quite a lot, though.
