Review of The Limey (1999) by Jesse O — 08 Jun 2007
A friend of mine recommended this and I reluctantly watched it because of Soderbergh's tendency to be indulgent. Indulgent this is - but it hits all the right spots. Its editing and tone are purely original and it hums along, mesmerising the viewer.
It's also a very simple revenge story that's easy to watch but leaves a lot to think about.
