Review of The Limey (1999) by Stephen P — 23 Feb 2008
It's a strange movie, that's for sure. You usually don't see movies with no stars and a disjointed story structure actually coming out with proper budgets. I don't know why anyone would have had faith in this one making money, but I'm glad it came out regardless.
It stars Terrence Stamp as a cockney former gangster who gets out of jail only to find that his daughter's probably been murdered by her music mogul boyfriend, played by Peter Fonda. Luis Guzman is along for the ride and Nicky Katt shows up, but this is mainly Stamp and Fonda's show.
It's entertaining and it's only an hour and a half long. Can't argue with that.
