Review of The Limey (1999) by Tal A — 01 Sep 2008
Perhaps my favorite film from Soderbergh(it's this or King of the Hill) The Limey is primarily concered with the elusive nature of memory in our lives. It's also a moving portrait of a man facing his own mortality, a comedy about 60's counter culture 3 decades removed (embodied by Stamp and Fonda), and simply put a great LA film rich in location detail.
Fine work from Stamp, Fonda, Luis Guizman and Barry Newman.
