Review of The Limey (1999) by Paul N — 11 Jan 2009
Terence Stamp's lean, mean, magnetic performance anchors this spare, riveting crime drama from Soderbergh, fresh of the equally great OUT OF SIGHT. He applies much of the same French New Wave-influenced style to this film, and it works beautifully for Stamp's lonely, vengeful character, who could've stepped straight out of a Jean-Pierre Melville picture.
Awesome stuff.
