Review of The Limey (1999) by Masorad ( — 22 Feb 2009
For my money, Soderbergh's best film. Stamp's singularity-of-purpose is enhanced by the spacetime distortion of the editing, Lachman's "daylight noir" cinematography captures the blanch of LA, long shots inculcate humour, and Luis Guzman is the icing on the gravy.
The DVD commentary with Soderbergh and screenwriter Dobbs worth a few stars alone.
