Review of The Limey (1999) by M D — 13 Jul 2009
Fresh off of the great criminal drama Out of Sight, Soderbergh delivers a more scattered and disjointed exploration with this film. Terence Stamp stars as a dangerous Englishman whose trip to LA is motivated only by bringing the person who killed his daughter to justice.
Despite the presence of Dennis Hopper as a respectably creepy record producer, the films bumpy narration and static editing make its accessibility challenging, at least the first time around.
