Review of The Light Between Oceans (2016) by Scott H — 06 Sep 2016
Features two remarkable performances from Fassbender and Vikander, but it overstays its welcome and really starts to drag once Rachel Weisz's character is introduced. The early character development for Fassbender and Vikander, and subsequently their romance, is wonderful and it's effective in raising its moral dilemmas and commentary, but having multiple endings makes it another adaptation where it likely worked better for the book than it ever could in a movie.
