Review of The Life of David Gale (2003) by Iain W — 27 Sep 2009
This absolutely wonderful movie never got the credit it deserved (but then again that happens whenever a stubborn segment of American society doesn't agree with a particular viewpoint). The movie is suspenseful, has a very unpredictable ending & is just great.
Anybody who rates this movie low does so because they are pro death-penalty and bitter. This is not the way to be. You can disagree with the underlying message of a movie & still appreciate it. Whether you believe in the death penalty or not, the truth is, innocent people have been, are, & continue to be victims of the death penalty and this is a fact, not an opinion. The movie is simply brilliant and one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a shame so many people have never heard of it.
