Review of The Life of David Gale (2003) by Jingbo W — 27 Jan 2010
Even though PAID FILM CRITICS say this film "sucks," I say that it's heart is in the right place:
A Governor of Texas is a proponent of the death penalty- DAVID GALE is a somewhat narcissistic activist against the death penalty.
DAVID GALE is actually framed in a CAPITAL MURDER crime and ends-up facing the death penalty himself.
--activists don't "suck." The reason we don't have bluddy slavery now is because people (activists) went against The Establishment to prove time and again slavery was bad--undoubtedly, Abraham Lincoln considered the abolitionists' arguments condemning the inhumanity of slavery in his own decision to abolish slavery.
The biblical JESUS CHRIST was an activist and was crucified in going against an established belief; yet people who "hate" activists go to church and proclaim a spiritual alliance to JESUS every Sunday even though JESUS challenged the prevailing belief of the day.
