Review of The Life of David Gale (2003) by Jack K — 15 Mar 2010

I caught half of this movie awhile ago and was very intrugied. Kevin Spacey was awesome in this movie, he plays the part of david gale so well, especially the drunk babbling about socrates, brilliant. There were some great supporting roles as well, all the small parts, the lawyer, the head of the jail, all of them.

I disliked Kate Winslets character I didn't understand why she was so upset at one point, I think she tried to hard on this one. I didn't like the transitions from present and past, even though I think they were supposed to be very apparent but still not done very well.

The storyline was done well (didn't see it coming but I like to try to be niave as long as possible). I thought near the climax of the story it did start getting a little ridiculous, but came together nicely.
