Disappointing movie on many accounts. It's quest of an anti-death penalty theme is strangely foiled by it's own ending (without giving a spoiler), but aside from that, the story itself is flawed in many ways and though the performance by Winslet is fine here, that of Mr.

Spacey (who I typically admire) is a lot of over-acting and over reaching nearly every scene he is in. There are snuf scenes that I could have done without seeing (though was an intrical part of the story) and over-all? I wish I could scrub the memory of having seen this from my brain.
